I am a sideline reporter and sports
producer in the Chicago area. I am a true Sportsgirl, but like other Grownup
Tomboys, my interests have evolved to include more than sports. It took me
years of being “one of the boys” for me to realize that I can still be stylish
and care about beauty without relinquishing my Sportsgirl card. I’ve made
myself an ambassador of telling the world Brains and Beauty can co-exist in the
sports world. It’s OK to have–and love– both.

Yet, more importantly, the knowledge
and mentorship I have received from other women in the sports and journalism industry
has been invaluable to me. I believe EVERY woman has a story to share and words
to impart to others building their own career right now. So, the Featurettes

favorite destination. I don’t know how

learned something from every woman I know in sports and I would like to bring
